Health Care
We have experience working in healthcare and wellness facilities in Manitoba & Ontario for renovations and new builds including extensive mechanical and medical gas installations providing services to prep rooms & treatment areas, laboratories, diagnostic & MRI rooms, laundry, and personal care & rehabilitation facilities.
Education Facilities
We have worked in education facility projects across the province including K-9, high school, community college, university facilities and laboratories. We have accomplished differing levels of certification, including LEED, and have worked with the many standards and protocols required to address varying levels of abatement, decontamination, sterilization, and biosafety.
Waste / Water Treatment / Infrastructure
Properly constructed water and wastewater treatment facilities require high standards and adherence to design criteria thorough testing and commissioning, and ensures standards are being met at all levels so the facility functions properly throughout its intended lifecycle. Having also worked on feeder mains, lift stations, lagoons, and on reservoirs & pumphouses we have gained a thorough understanding of how they all do their part to service our communities.
Industrial / Commercial
We have extensive experience in commercial construction including shopping malls, warehouses, stadiums, fire & police departments, concert halls, agricultural facilities, powerhouses, and in many other public and private facilities. For high security projects, our industrial security implementation plan ensures our employees and subtrades obtain all required clearances for projects such as correctional facilities, public works, and defense construction.
Specialty Projects
Specialty projects offer our people the opportunity to grow to new heights while working in unique and challenging environments. We have worked on projects replacing filtration & HVAC in city pools, on northern marine observatory and environmental weather stations, water monitoring facilities, parkades, and airport hangars to name a few. These projects step beyond the boundaries of a traditional commercial project, each offering its own level of complexity.
PCH / Residential Complexes
Westwood has completed an assortment of multi residential units including apartments, personal care homes, and hotel units. As well as new construction we have performed renovations to several personal care homes throughout Manitoba and have worked to achieve LEED accreditation on projects when specified by the Architects/Owners.
